11 Sep ElectroFleet founds “TCO Alliance”: Consortium offers complete e-truck ecosystem from a single source
The founding members of the new “TCO Alliance” are the companies Volta Commercial Vechicles, Ferronordic e-Rental, Service4Charger, IO Dynamics and Green Logistics Enabler
Osnabrück, September 12, 2024 – ElectroFleet, a cleantech energy provider, has launched the “TCO Alliance”, a consortium that offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution for the electrification of truck fleets. This innovative ecosystem will be presented at the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover.
Due to its outstanding energy efficiency, the electric truck plays a central role in the decarbonization of freight transport on the road. Depending on the application, the analysis of the total cost of ownership (TCO) shows this competitive advantage of the electric drive over the diesel truck very clearly in some cases. ElectroFleet GmbH therefore consistently supports truck fleet operators in switching to emission-free electric trucks – with a fixed electricity price for up to 20 years and investment in the necessary infrastructure.
TCO Alliance: An ecosystem for the electrification of e-trucks
Now the energy supplier from Osnabrück is going one step further: in the run-up to its trade fair appearance at the IAA Transportation, ElectroFleet has founded the industry consortium “TCO Alliance”. “The aim of our TCO Alliance is to provide all the products and services required for a successful transition from diesel to electric trucks,” says Mark Hellmann Regouby, CEO and Managing Partner of ElectroFleet GmbH. “With this open industry alliance, we provide truck fleet operators with the complete ecosystem for electric trucks – all from a single source.”
Members of the new TCO Alliance are Volta Commercial Vechicles, Ferronordic e-Rental GmbH and the e-mobility pioneers Service4Charger GmbH, IO Dynamics GmbH and Green Logistics Enabler. The consortium deliberately remains open to other interested parties to further strengthen its offering. ElectroFleet will be exhibiting its services and the TCO Alliance at this year’s IAA Transportation in Hanover: September 17-22, Messe Hannover, Hall 12, Stand SA03.
Comprehensive infrastructure and financing
A central component of the e-truck ecosystem is the infrastructure for charging and producing electricity from renewable sources. Both are fully financed by ElectroFleet, with no risk for the customer. The customer can obtain the electric truck itself, the required hardware, fleet analysis and planning services from the TCO Alliance partners on request – and therefore has a single point of contact for the entire ecosystem required. “In addition to financing the infrastructure, we offer a long-term, contractually fixed power supply and, on request, project management for the electrification of the truck fleet,” says Issam al Mutawaly, COO and Managing Director of ElectroFleet GmbH. “This gives our customers the planning and financing security they urgently need. As a central point of contact for the TCO Alliance, we also reduce the complexity of the conversion project for the customer.”
The comprehensive offer of the “TCO Alliance” initiated by ElectroFleet includes in particular:
- the sale, leasing or rental of electric trucks through selected partners of the “TCO Alliance”
- Fleet analysis and design as well as the planning, installation and, if required, operation of commercial charging parks by selected partners of the “TCO Alliance”
- the provision and financing of the complete charging infrastructure – PV system, battery storage, transformers and charging stations
- long-term, reliable and attractively priced energy supply by ElectroFleet with “green” electricity from renewable sources at a contractually secured fixed price for up to 20 years.
Statements from the consortium partners:
IO Dynamics GmbH:
“The TCO Alliance brings together strong partners to significantly advance the urgently needed electrification of road freight transport – a goal that we at IO-Dynamics support wholeheartedly. Together, we are setting the course for sustainable logistics. With our focus on intelligent charging and energy management, we are making the TCO Alliance’s charging infrastructure efficient and future-proof.”
Johann Olsen, CEO & Co-Founder, IO Dynamics GmbH
Ferronordic e-Rental GmbH:
“The long-term rental of electric trucks, as we offer, is an ideal way for many truck fleet operators to make a risk-free entry into electromobility. Through the TCO Alliance, our customers have the attractive option of having the infrastructure around the e-truck financed. They also benefit from a long-term guaranteed fixed price for electricity from renewable sources via ElectroFleet. This gives our customers the planning security they need. That’s why we actively support the TCO Alliance and look forward to working together.”
Patrick Holm, Managing Director Ferronordic e-Rental GmbH.
Service4Charger GmbH:
“With our most comprehensive network of permanently employed and specifically trained specialists in Germany, we guarantee maximum reliability and maximum uptime of the charging infrastructure. As a member of the TCO Alliance, we ensure consistent project implementation and seamless operation of the electric truck fleets of tomorrow.”
Lucas Althammer, CEO Service4Charger GmbH.
